The XHHV535-4Z high voltage pulse generator is a system used to generate DC high-voltage pulse signals and generate electrical test signals with required parameters. It is often used as an impulse high-voltage power supply for fault detection of power cables with voltage levels of 35kV and below. Its impact high voltage is 0-35KV, built-in 4μF capacitor, and the discharge energy is up to 2450J.


The XHHV535-4Z HV surge generator consists of a charging circuit and a discharging circuit. It samples the voltage of the high-voltage cable and sends it to the voltage regulator control circuit. It is usually used in high-voltage flashover fault testing and acoustic-magnetic synchronization fault point determination.

Panel introduction



1. High voltage output: dedicated high voltage pulse output terminal, output DC high voltage signal.

2. Safety ground: The ground of the instrument shell must be reliably connected to the ground in order to prevent the instrument shell from being electrified or electric shock to personnel.

3. Time setting: Set the discharge time interval.

4. Voltmeter: high voltage output voltage indicating kV meter.

5. Power socket: the working power of the instrument, AC 220V/50Hz.

6. Fuse socket: the place where the fuse of the 220VAC power supply system is installed.

7. Power switch: "grade I" uses AC220V power supply to supply power to the system, and "grade 0" shuts down.

8. Discharge button: In the high-voltage stop state, press this button to manually discharge the internal power.

9. Start button: When the start button light is on, it means that the voltage output is in the zero position. When the start button is on, the start button is valid. If the start button light is not on after turning on the power switch, adjust the voltage adjustment knob counterclockwise until the light is on. When the light is on, press this key to start the high voltage and generate high voltage output.

10. Stop button: When the test is completed or an abnormality occurs, press this button to cut off the high-voltage output, the high-voltage light goes out, and the internal discharge ball stops working. When the stop key is on, it means there is high voltage output, and when it is off, it means there is no high voltage output.

11. Voltage adjustment: After starting the device, you must first turn the knob counterclockwise to the zero position, then adjust clockwise to increase the output high voltage from small to large, and adjust counterclockwise to decrease the output high voltage from large to small.

12. Ammeter: Indication of low voltage measurement current.

13. Sampling ground: The negative terminal of the pulse energy storage capacitor has a high voltage and must be grounded reliably. It is used for sampling when the waveform is sampled under the high-voltage flashover state of the cable fault tester. (Without high-voltage flashover sampling, reliable grounding is still required).

14. High voltage ground: Also known as high voltage tail, it must be grounded reliably to prevent high voltage leakage and discharge. Poor contact may cause failure to boost the voltage, high voltage breakdown of the internal components of the instrument, and safety accidents caused by leakage or discharge inside the instrument.
