On November 21, Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group (HBIS) announced that in October this year its subsidiary Tangshan Iron and Steel Co. (Tangshan Steel) produced 212,400 mt of cold rolled products, while its cold rolled product exports for the month totaled 126,000 mt, both constituting new monthly records.
In 2012, Tangshan Steel had exported 1.16 million mt of cold rolled products, up 70,000 mt year on year, with high value-added products accounting for over 80 percent of the total.
